Mr Siarkos is the President of the “European Cotton Alliance” running the initiative of “EU COTTONTM“, President of “Hellenic Cotton Association of Ginners and Exporters” and elected Member at the Board of Directors of the “Federation of Industries of Greece”. He has served as Chair of the “PSAP (Private Sector Advisory Panel) of International Cotton Advisory Committee” at the year of 2015 and he has a long participation at “EC Cotton Advisory Group in Brussels”, since 2009, as representative of the Greek cotton Industry.
He is the President of the Board of Directors of “SIARKOS S.A.”, a company dealing with Cotton Ginning and International Trading of Grains and Cotton. Mr Siarkos represents the third generation of owners of the family company established in 1935. Moreover, he is one of the main shareholders of “Kappa Sigma Cotton S.A.” and “Imathia Ginning S.A.”, companies established together with Karagiorgos Family at the year of 2000 and 2004, which operate a number of cotton ginning facilities throughout Greece.
He holds a degree in “Mechanical Engineering” from the University of Thessaly in Greece, an MSc in “Business and Management” from the University of Warwick in UK and a diploma of successful completion of “Cotton Ginning Technology and Management Systems ” course at the Mississippi State University in USA. He was born in Thessaloniki in 1973 and he is married with two children.
