BIOGRAPHY

Georgios Doukidis is Professor of eBusiness in the Department of Management Science and Technology at the Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB). He holds an MSc in Operational Research and PhD in Artificial Intelligence from the London School of Economics (LSE) where he worked as lecturer in computing in 1984-90. He has also taught in leading European Business Schools. He is the Director of ELTRUN -the largest eBusiness Research Center of all European Business Schools- that has participated successfully in more than 40 international R&D projects with leading Universities and global companies. His work has been recognized internationally in awards such as the European Case Study Award 2009 in “Knowledge, Information and Communication Systems Management” category and the European ECR award in “Retail Innovation with Business Analytics” in 2015. In the last 30 years he has acted as consultant or board member in more than 50 local or international organizations in the fields of e-business, business development, innovation and re-engineering, digital transformation. He was chairman of TANEO (the Greek New Economy Fund of Funds) and director of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center of AUEB and currently is an independent board member of ATHEX and Alumil.
