BIOGRAPHY

Apostolou Olympia holds a Bachelor degree in International and European, Political and Economic Studies, with a specialisation in International Economic Relations from the University of Macedonia. She also holds a Master of Science in Logistics and Supply Chain Management awarded with distinction from the University of Sheffield. The topic of her master dissertation is “Horizontal Collaboration in the Greek Fruit Canning Industry”.

Since 2011, she has been working for DELCOF SA, the network of the Greek fruit canning industry. She has worked as project manager in numerous promotion programs for the industry and R&D collaborations.

For the last 7 years, she has also been a consultant of the Greek Canners’ Association – E.K.E., coordinating horizontal projects in various topics, like industry-farmers relations, international trade and exports and more. During this period she has represented the Association in meetings, conferences, and umbrella-organizations like the Federation of Industries of Greece and the Greek Exporters Association.

Since 2014, she has been representing PROFEL (the European Association of Fruit and Vegetable Processors) in DG Agriculture Working Groups, meetings and the EU Parliament as canned fruit expert and trade expert.

She speaks Greek, English and French.
